Adam Wharton His maiden beginning with the national team. A bit sloppy on the ball however his whipped set-pieces were a threat. A useful tempo-setter available to the manager to utilize versus defensive opponents. Shown a yellow for a poorly timed challenge. 6/10

Declan Rice Set-pieces on corner kicks and free-kicks were dangerous. Was given license to drift down the left flank yet found himself offside as the pass came with a chance to score. Awarded a well-earned substitution around the 60-minute point. 6

Jude Bellingham Operated in an advanced position out wide and did plenty of the hard yards. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance but scuffed an effort over. Replaced in the closing stages for Rogers, a fellow player, after being booked. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s clearest opportunity before halftime, his shot smartly stopped from Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah holding position, he had to offer an outlet out wide but his crosses from wide areas varied in quality. Taken off with 15 to go. 6/10

Harry Kane The match-winner netting two more goals in an England shirt. The opener a trademark opportunist's goal while the second a superb finish with his head having drifted away off his defender. At 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders in future competitions with him leading the line. Eight

The attacker Struggled to make an impact on the left flank. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham but Strakosha denied him. His replacement made much more of effect in his place. Five
