Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions
The Gunners' ten-match winning streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.
For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's new album, the new release, is out on the weekend.
Soccer and Parenting Experiences
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.
"I will not force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer team," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's only on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still that team's coach.
Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?
I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.
A family member advised me to select Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.
Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had much success on the travel this term, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually turns out to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.
Fulham have have plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.
Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
The away side's display in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.
But I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's home record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a hard one to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
