Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who breached a fence and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the individual from Australia pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was due to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Record of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account contains videos of him interrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Well-being

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented another comment on Instagram.

Several fans also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Numerous of attendees had assembled in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the popular theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a adaptation of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and earned a dozen Oscar nominations, winning several for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
