Democrats Disclose Latest Set of Epstein Photographs as DOJ Time Limit Nears
Committee
The House Oversight Committee has released a set of approximately 70 images secured from the holdings of deceased adjudicated individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.
This represents the latest in a series of publication from a larger collection of over 95,000 photos the body has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It contains images of excerpts from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and censored images of female overseas passports.
This release arrives mere hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the Justice Department to disclose all records connected to its investigation into Epstein.
"These new photographs pose further inquiries about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its holdings," said the Democratic lead of the panel, Robert Garcia.
What is in the Photographs Made Public
A number of the photographs released on this week feature Epstein in discussion with academic and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private jet; Bill Gates standing alongside a woman whose face is censored; Steve Bannon sitting at a desk opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the latest affluent, prominent men to be pictured in Epstein property images released by the oversight panel - previously disclosed images also show US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.
Showing up in the photographs is does not constitute evidence of any wrongdoing, and several of the photographed figures have stated they were not implicated in Epstein's criminal activity.
In a statement accompanying the photo publication, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate did not offer context or dates for the photographs.
"Photos were selected to furnish the general populace with openness into a typical cross-section of the photographs acquired from the property, and to give insights into Epstein's circle and his profoundly disturbing actions," the announcement states.

The release also features a number of images of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita penned in ink across several locations of a female's body, such as her torso, feet, pelvis, and rear. Lolita tells the account of a minor who was manipulated by a older literature professor.
One passage from the novel scrawled across a woman's torso says, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".
Additionally, there are a number of images of female passports and identification documents from countries globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
Oversight Panel
A large portion of the data on the papers, including names and dates of birth, is obscured but the House Oversight Committee indicated in a press release that the passports are associated with "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were interacting with".
A further photograph depicts Epstein sitting at a table closely surrounded by three women whose faces have been censored - a first has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his shirt, and a second is crouching to examine a nearby laptop. Epstein seems to be aiding the third individual attach a wristband.

A further photo made public is a screenshot of SMS messages from an unnamed person who claims they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are asking for "$$1,000 per female".
Photo Publication Occurs Before DOJ Due Date
The body has many thousands of images in its holdings from the Epstein estate, which are "simultaneously graphic and everyday," its announcement on recently explained.
The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on accusations of human trafficking, in August.
The images and documents the Epstein property provided to the body are distinct from what is commonly called "the Epstein documents". That material are documents within the Department of Justice's possession associated with its independent inquiry into Epstein.
Pursuant to the recently passed law, which the President signed into law last month, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to disclose its documents. The full nature of the contents found in the DOJ's documents is not publicly known, and it's likely that a large amount of the information will be extensively redacted, comparable to House Oversight Committee releases
